Orthopaedics Down Under (ODU) 2027

| Friday 19th and Saturday 20th February 2027 | Hilton, Sydney |

Your ODU Experience

Orthopaedics Down Under (ODU) 2027 brings together leading orthopaedic specialists for two days of education, collaboration and professional connection in the heart of Sydney.

For the first time, ODU will bring together four dedicated specialty streams under one meeting umbrella: Sarcoma, Upper Limb, Foot & Ankle, and the Diabetic Foot Network. Each stream will deliver a focused educational program designed to address the challenges, innovations and emerging trends most relevant to its specialty.

Across the two-day program, delegates can expect:
  • International and local faculty presentations
  • Case-based discussions
  • Interactive panel sessions
  • Clinical debates
  • Opportunities to examine complex and challenging cases
  • Peer-to-peer networking and collaboration
ODU is committed to delivering practical, clinically relevant education that can be translated directly into everyday practice. Sessions are led by internationally recognised faculty and respected regional experts who bring diverse perspectives, extensive experience and real-world clinical insights to the program.

Beyond the educational content, ODU provides valuable opportunities to reconnect with colleagues, establish new professional relationships and engage with peers facing similar clinical challenges from across Australia and New Zealand.

Whether you are attending as a long-standing ODU delegate or joining us for the first time, you can expect a high-quality educational experience that combines specialty-focused learning with the opportunity to connect with a broader orthopaedic community.

Together, we're moving Orthopaedics forward.

How do I get to Sydney?

To support the long-term sustainability of ODU and maintain the quality of the program, delegates (excluding Convenors) are responsible for arranging their own flights to and from Sydney.

When should I arrive and depart?

If travelling interstate or internationally, please plan to arrive in Sydney with sufficient time to attend registration, which runs between 9:30am and 10:00am on Friday, 19th February. Plenary sessions will commence mid-morning (exact timing to be confirmed).

ODU will conclude on the afternoon of Saturday, 20th February, at approximately 4:00pm. We recommend booking return flights that allow adequate time to travel to the airport following the close of the event.

How do I get to and from the airport?

Hilton Sydney is conveniently located in the heart of Sydney CBD, approximately 20-30 minutes from Sydney Airport, depending on traffic conditions. Delegates can travel between the airport and the hotel via taxi, rideshare services, airport shuttle services or Sydney's Airport Link train, which provides direct access to the CBD.

Can I extend my stay at Hilton Sydney?

Yes. Delegates who wish to arrive early or extend their stay after ODU 2027 are welcome to do so, subject to hotel availability. Additional accommodation outside the official conference dates will be at your own expense and charged directly by Hilton Sydney. If you would like to extend your stay, please indicate your preferred dates during registration.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes, additional guests are welcome. Please note that while partners or guests may accompany you to Melbourne, attendance at any part of the event program is limited to Healthcare Professionals with a genuine professional interest in the information being shared. Guests are therefore unable to attend sessions or official event activities, including faculty dinners and the Gala Dinner.

Please note that accommodation inclusions are based on a single occupant. Additional charges will apply for extra guests, including breakfast. Please indicate this during registration so arrangements can be made with the hotel.

How do I book my flights?

Unless you are part of the ODU Convenor Faculty, or advised otherwise, all delegates are required to arrange their own flights via their usual booking process.

Is ODU CPD-accredited?

ODU 2027 will be accredited for relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points. Further details, including claiming requirements, will be confirmed closer to the event.
