The Diabetic Foot Network (DFN) stream provides a dedicated forum for clinicians involved in the prevention, management and treatment of diabetic foot complications.
Recognising the need for collaboration and connection, the program will build on outcomes from the first DFN meeting held in 2026 and bring together specialists committed to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based care, collaborative practice and innovation.
Sessions will explore treatment pathways, limb preservation strategies, infection management and the latest advances shaping diabetic foot services throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Through expert presentations, case discussions and peer collaboration, delegates will gain practical insights that can be implemented within their own clinical settings. The program fosters meaningful discussion across an evolving field and provides an opportunity to connect with colleagues who share a commitment to improving outcomes for patients at risk of limb loss.

Dr Brian Martin | Sydney, AU
Dr Brian Martin is an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nepean Hospital, Sydney, with a specialist interest in complex Foot & Ankle surgery, Charcot foot reconstruction, limb reconstruction and deformity correction. He is widely recognised for his expertise in managing challenging lower limb pathology and has extensive experience with circular fixation techniques and limb salvage procedures. Dr Martin is actively involved in surgeon education and training and is regarded as a respected contributor within the Australian and international Foot & Ankle and limb reconstruction community. His clinical practice focuses on delivering innovative reconstructive solutions that improve patient outcomes in complex cases.

Dr Jason Chow | Sydney, AU
Dr Jason Chow is a Foot & Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in ankle arthroplasty, deformity correction, limb reconstruction and Charcot foot management. Following fellowship training in Australia and Switzerland, he has developed a strong reputation in complex Foot & Ankle surgery, surgeon education and research, and serves as IBRA Lower Limb Fellowship Director at Nepean Hospital.
